Gas leak!

I would drop the fuel tank and then inspect everything and look for signs of where it was leaking from.

ick...mine just did this awhile ago. The rear seam started to split...it wasn't to bad...when it got a little worse I patched it up with some muffer mend/gas tank sealer stuff that you can buy. However once the seams start to go they start to go, that fix only lasted me a month or two before my car was leaving puddles of gas. I got the gas tank outta a parts car from my friends shop. I cleaned up the surface rust and he sprayed it with some protect coating...thing was better than new and cost me 20 bucks hehe. Jack the rear end of the car up and you should be able to see whats goin on back there.

Ok heres the deal, i looked under my 91 hb today and notice i have a little gas leak.The gas seems to be dripping down the side of the tank,any tips on finding the source of the leak? The leak is coming from the drivers side and like i said its dripping down the tank, so it must be up somewhat high.Any help would be great i just dont wanna take it to a mechanic and get raped on them doing a job that i could have done myself! also the leak is in the area near the front of the rear wheel on the drivers side.
